Madrid, February 20th, 2025

Entrol, the manufacturer of EASA and FAA certified FNPT, FTD, and FFS flight simulators, announces the installation of the en-4000x FNPT II MCC simulator for the Ministry of National Defense of Tunisia. This state-of-the-art simulator, currently being installed at the Borj El Amri flight school, is designed to enhance the training of air force personnel and civilian pilots, offering advanced capabilities and unparalleled realism in flight training.

Versatility in training with the en-4000x FNPT II MCC

The en-4000x FNPT II MCC simulator is designed to adapt to a wide variety of training scenarios. It can be reconfigured to simulate different types of aircraft, including SEP, MEP, and JET configurations, and features a generic cockpit that combines elements from each type, based on the Airbus A320 platform. This flexibility allows pilots to train across a full spectrum of scenarios and conditions, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle real-world situations with precision and efficiency.

Advanced technology for enhanced flight safety

The simulator is equipped with a 200ºx45º cylindrical visual system, along with a database that includes all Tunisian airports as well as major airports across North and Central Africa, such as Cairo, Bamako, Algiers, Niamey, and Casablanca. This immersive and realistic visual experience significantly enhances situational awareness during training, allowing pilots to practice both civil and military operations in key locations.

Additional options and customization

The en-4000x FNPT II MCC includes a range of advanced features, such as a Forward-Looking Infrared Camera based on FLIR, initial NVIS capability for night flight with night vision goggles, formation flying training, and an extended set of customized spare parts. These features enhance the training experience, providing pilots with the critical tools needed to handle complex operations and emergency scenarios.

Efficient installation and customer commitment

The simulator was installed in September 2024 and is now fully operational. This marks the second collaboration between Entrol and the Tunisian government, building on the successful installation of the Bell 429 FTD Level 2 simulator for the Tunisian National Guard. Entrol’s proven ability to deliver timely, customized solutions continues to reinforce its reputation as a trusted partner in pilot training across both public and private sectors.
