AFN, one of the best-known flight schools in Spain located in A Coruña, has acquired from entrol an A32 FNPT II MCC simulator.
The incorporation of this second simulator to the ATO of Aeroflota del Noroeste has been possible thanks to the alliance with the company Mapupos SL. Mapupos is composed and created by prestigious instructors of airlines with extensive experience in training in the sector of operations in commercial jets.
The simulator is based on A320 and will be installed in mid-2019. It will be used mainly for MCC training, Jet Orientation Training and PBN. The cabin features Dual MCDU, TCAS II and Weather Radar. The visual will be cylindrical with three projectors and will have a high-resolution database of Spain.
David Fernández, Head of Training at AFN, explains: «We chose the entrol A32 FNPT II MCC, and it is the second simulator from this manufacturer that we will incorporate into the ATO after the en-1000 FNPT II.» «In this way, we will simplify maintenance training courses and instructors, and they will be complementary, as both simulators have many points in common».
«Also, entrol is gaining a certain leadership position in the sector, which is a guarantee when it comes to certifying the simulator».
«The alliance between Mapupos and AFN close the circle of ab-initio training of the highest quality that AFN has been offering in Galicia for 22 years and make a firm commitment that 100% of the training will be given in Galicia and by the hand of highly qualified personnel».
