Entrol delivers simulators to U.S Air Force

Entrol provides simulators to CAE Defense & Security for the U.S. Air Force (USAF) Rotary Wing, Introductory Flight Training

Entrol has delivered three Bell 505 configured simulators to CAE Defense & Security in support of the U.S. Air Force (USAF) Rotary Wing (IFT-R), Introductory Flight Training at the CAE Dothan Training Center.

Entrol was subcontracted to deliver two H1000 Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) devices with the Bell 505 configuration and one Bell 505-based Flight Training Device (FTD) Level 5 unit. The simulators are equipped with a full G1000H replica developed by Entrol, making the transition from the simulator to the real helicopter as smooth as possible.

CAE was awarded the USAF Rotary Wing, Introductory Flight Training in June 2023 to support the U.S. Air Education and Training Command and provide critical flight training to USAF student pilots as part of the Helicopter Training Next program. The program supports the training of all initial USAF rotary-wing air, ground, and simulation training.

“Entrol is proud to manufacture these devices for CAE Defense & Security to support the U.S. Air Force (USAF) Rotary Wing. We believe these devices will enhance their training and security,” says Luis Olarte, Entrol’s CEO and Co-Founder.

“The IFT-R program is a significant flight training program focused on improving safety and training efficiency for the next generation of rotary wing pilots,” says Merrill Stoddard, CAE Defense & Security, Vice President and General Manager USA. “Leveraging the capabilities of industry, we continue to enhance training and mission readiness to deliver a global training experience.”
